Holla!

First of all, I love Katie for doing this. Our ideas generally fall into either the "Terrible, what the hell were they thinking?" category or the "OMG these chicks are brilliant, when can we award them the Rhodes' Scholars honors they deserve?" c ategory. Operation Coup d'Fat falls into the latter.

I know an awful lot of people who have been very successful using the Weight Watchers method, and pretty soon Katie and I will be amongst them! Even though we have pretty drastically different weight goals and reasons for doing this, our powers of motivation, deprivation, and points-counting and stronger combined than separate.

I'm just checking in...I won't have internet for the next week or so, but I'll be updating regularly once things get settled. I think the summer is the perfect time to do something like this, so I'm excited to get started. Step one: go grocery shopping for healthy foods. Conveniently, I have zero food in my new apartment, so I can start fresh.

Katie - do you feel like doing a weekly weight-loss check in, to track progress in terms of poundage? I'm game if you are!

Yes, I'm all for a weekly weight-loss check in. If you want to reveal poundage and loss, I'm cool with that. Otherwise, we could always do a W (starting weight) and W-10 (when we lose ten pounds). Doesn't matter to me! All I know is that I'm already feeling just a LITTLE deprived on Day 1. If you read my last post, I'm apparently having to cut my current points in half. So I have to eat less AND better. Wah.

All I've had today is applesauce and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Wah times two.

OK, did you really leave that comment at 9:59 AM like the timestamp says you did? B/c if that is true...your comment about feeling deprived is even funnier. It's 10 AM!!

Umm, I think just revealing the loss is good. I don't think anyone needs to know just how much I actually weigh. I'll save that for myself.

Oh, and YES Kim should join us. Let's introduce her to the world of coups and she can help us navigate the world of Weight Watchers! Love it.

Ha! Okay, yes. I DID post that at 9:59. And yes, I was already feeling deprived. Haha... it felt a lot later than that! But I had had my applesauce at like 8:00, and then worked out and burned all those calories off anyway. And I was thinking, 'Damn. Two hours until lunch. And it's only going to be an F-ing sandwich.'

meh.

That is hilarious.... but trust me on the protein in the morning. An egg and one slice of whole grain toast with butter is only 3 points and makes a surprisingly filling breakfast. And you won't be dying at 10 am if you have a little snack around 9 of some fresh fruit or veggies. Or cereal. Or nuts. (ew by the way).
