Other vitally important things of interest from the week, diet-wise:
- worked out 5 days (realistically, this is good)
- broke the "No eating passed 9 pm" rule twice - I went to a play on Friday night but had only eaten like, 21 0r 22 points during the day, so when I got home at 11 I was famished. And Saturday night...I was lazy.
- slacked on the water alittle bit. the constant need to go to the bathroom is starting to drive me crazy, but I know it's good for me.
- no weights. i don't know what my problem is, but whatevs. i'm over it.

I'm not in love with this week. I've been stressing out over getting ready for school and I think my eating shows it. While part of the big fat lack of fruits and vegetables has to do with just plain not having any (and not really being able to afford groceries right this moment), it's more like I've just been craving the junk. And yes, it's all been in relative moderation, and I'm still getting my lean meats and protein...but for reals. I guess I'm willing to accept a week of eating crappily if I still managed to be under on points for 6 days and in my points range for the 7th day. I need to stop beating myself up.

New food this week was badass. I highly recommend the chipotle lime marinade from KC Masterpiece...it was sort of BBQ-y but with an extra something. I marinated the chicken breast over night and pan seared it with peppers and onions and it was really great. The feta turkeyburgers were really good, but a little too salty for my taste. Feta is naturally a very salty cheese (or so my research told me) so that's why, but I don't know if I'd try that exact recipe again. The feta adds an extra point to each burger and it wasn't worth it, but I ate all 4 of them so they weren't awful.

I don't know if I'll get to try anything this week. I have a lot of hot dogs, cheddar sausages, pasta, pancake mix, lunch meat, soup, tuna, etc. that I need to eat before I go out and buy more food. There are a few Mexican dishes I want to try, which I might just do when the girls visit next week, but for now I think I'm going to try to "eat down" the current contents of my refrigerator. So if you see a lot of hot dogs next week, never fear: it was planned. I do have a fresh pineapple to cut though...mmmm, that'll be delicious.

This week I am going to focus on figuring out how to sustain this diet once school roles around. I have never - and I mean NEVER - been able to extend a diet from the summer to the school year. I always - and I mean ALWAYS - gain the weight back plus some. Most of it is stress-related, and it seems no matter how many times I remind myself that eating better leads to feeling better which leads to less stress which leads to continuing to eat better, I freak out once things get busy and I go all ape-shit crazy. No joke. It's scary. I need to figure out a way to break this cycle or this year is going to eat me alive. And there will be a lot of me to eat.

I'm not much of a morning person - ok, very big understatement - but I'm going to give walking in the morning a healthy try. Probably only 20 minutes...I have to leave here by 6:20 am to get to school early enough to get prepared for the day, and I need a solid hour to get ready in the morning. If I woke up at 4:45 I could do it...but those first few days would be ugly. We'll see.

OH! Nerdy excitement: I bought Dance Dance Revolution and I am going to use it to trick myself into working out. I figure it can't hurt, and I've read quite a bit about how the appropriate level can give a really good cardio workout. Again, we'll see.

This is a busy week - my last free week of summer, really. I'll post tomorrow if I lose, but I'm sensing a plateau week, or a very small loss. I don't know why...I just foresee it.
