Tomorrow's my weigh-in, so time will tell, but I feel good about this week. It was by no means perfect, but it's important to me that I started off the school year on a good foot, diet-wise. With the exception of Tuesday, I brought my lunch and morning snack to school all week. At the staff lunch on Tuesday, I chose the spinach caesar wrap over sloppy joes, which has GOT to be better for me. I even managed to work out 4 times this week, including one day right when I got home from school.
Meal planning last Sunday was a great tool. It helped to know exactly what I was going to eat that night for dinner. No thought involved...just grab the stuff from the fridge and whip it together. I subbed out side items every now and again, but that's fine.
For this week I'm going to make some of those stuffed chicken breasts. I don't have any feta cheese, though, and I don't want to go shopping tomorrow, so I'm going to sub out mexican cheese instead. They are time consuming to prepare but reheat really well, so I'm happy about those.
There's nothing like hitting the ground running...I have meetings after school three days this week plus Open House on Thursday night. IDK how working out is going to happen, but my plan is this: I will work out every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, because I know I'll have the time on those days. Then, at the beginning of the week I'll choose two other days to work out. This week is Monday and Tuesday by virtue of how long Wednesday and Thursday will be. Once things get really busy (i.e. during the play) I'll be perfectly content with just one extra day a week. For now, though, I really do have the time for 5 days, so I ought to do it.
I'd love to see a good loss tomorrow. I feel like I haven't seen one in a while, though that really isn't true. And while I'm not going to be pleased if I maintain, I really have to admit that I feel SO much better right now. I thinking focusing on myself more this school year is going to help me in every way imaginable, so even if the weight loss isn't immediately evident, good things are definitely happening.
