It's almost laughable...
...how badly the last 9 months have gone, diet-wise. I think we can safely say that I have zero self-control or will-power during the school year. I mean, that's pretty sad. Much weight gained back. MUCH. Not all of it, which I guess is a thing to be proud of...but barely, man. BARELY.
I don't know what my deal is with diet and exercise during the school year. I really let things get out of control and then it feels like there's no escape from the damage I've created, so why bother? Luckily, summer comes and serves mostly as a motivator. And since today was my last day until August 10th, I've got some time to refocus my efforts.
I think, starting tomorrow, I'll just start counting points and working out again. I mean, that's what works, right? It's just doing it. Today is sot of already a bust, given the mini pig-out we had to celebrate the last day in the English office. Still though, I suppose I'll *try* to behave. I think this week's exercise is going to consist of deep, deeeeeep cleaning my apartment. It's not filthy, but I haven't really dusted or scrubbed anything in months, so I think that is pretty high on my priority list. And the laundry is piling up...I bet really thorough cleansing is good exercise, right?
Another priority is to start cooking for myself again. Way too many meals were fast food or general "junk," as in simply not what you would call healthy. Maybe over the weekend I'll make a shopping list. Mmmm, fresh fruit...man, now I'm craving strawberries and pineapple.
OK, I'm out. Katie, we can do this. Let's not go overboard at the Cub's game Thursday!

And speaking of deep cleaning, Matt decided it was a good idea to clean the inside of our oven with 409 cleaner. *grumble*. What are the odds that using it will now contaminate our food?? I sense a new microwave in our future.
