'Tis the Season....

.... to be a big ol' fatty! Okay, this blog has been defunct for far too long. I know that *I* really need some more motivation to keep the pounds coming off. I did a really nice job between this summer and Halloween, effectively losing between 8 and 10 pounds depending on the day and time I weighed myself. Since Halloween, however, I've "rewarded" myself with far too many pizzas, chocolate poptarts, chips, just generally bad food, and zero working out. I've decided that now "reward-time" is over - it's been about a month - and now I need to move forward on my weight-loss goals. I'm not going to beat myself up over the "reward time," but it's time to move on now. And despite the terrible food I've eaten, I'm still down 10 pounds (as of yesterday morning), or 4 pounds (as of today). What is with my weight fluctuations?! I mean, I know yesterday was Thanksgiving, but 6 pounds?? I'm sure all the fat I ate hasn't even been absorbed yet!

Anyway. Starting today, I'll begin tracking my points again. This will be a little bit depressing because I also have Thanksgiving #2 at the Wood residence. So, I guess I'll start from the more depressing weight point. I'm currently down W-4, and hope to be at W-15 by New Year's. That's ten pounds in a little more than a month. Feasible, right? Although if we remember my last endeavor, it took me about two months to take off ten pounds. We'll see. The ultimate goal is still W-20. Not sure my body is totally capable of being there without severe restriction, but we'll see.

So! Plan for today:

1 mini bagel w/ spray butter = 1 pt.
1 glass water = 0 pts.
1 brownie = 4 pts ( I've already had this... oops! But c'mon, what else am I supposed to do with leftover brownies besides eat them?)
2 slices turkey = 4 pts.
1 c. mashed potatoes = 4 pts.
1 c. corn = 2 pts.
1 scoop ice cream = 4 pts.
1 glass wine = 2 pts.

TOTAL: 21 points

Here are the pitfalls I foresee for today: extra glass of wine, or after dinner bar outing. Eeeee. Also, potential/likelihood of having 2 scoops of ice cream, rather than one. Perhaps I should forsake the ice cream altogether since I've already had dessert this morning. Fnar. Regardless of what happens food-wise today, I will be heading to work out right after I'm done blogging. And Matt's coming, too! Whee!

So hold me to this, Maureen: W-15 by Dec. 31. I'm currently at W-4 (ish). That gives me 33 days ... that equates to losing a pound every three days. Here we go again! Hello, deprivation! :)
